Cram is cream of the crop!

Congratulations to David Cramant who beat Chris Whitehead in the final of the Presidents Prize last Friday. Both players have had successful seasons and it was Dave who managed to come out on top in the 36 hole Final.

Well done to Sean Wooff who won the Fernihough Trophy at the weekend by beating the course 3 up in difficult conditions.

Marc is on the Mark in the shootout final!

It was nice to hold a fun social event out on the course on Sunday, where we held the shootout final. 12 players qualified throughout the season through the weekly 'Shootout' and they all had the chance to win £500! It was Marc Studholme who was able to hold his nerve and hit the ball to just 1 foot 4 inches from the flag, a shot of a worthy winner!

Ladies Medal Final

A big congratulations to Rachel Sojka who won the ladies medal final on Tuesday with a fantastic score of 72.

Rachel has been a regular at the weekly ladies coaching and it's great to see her hard work paying off. Well done Rachel!

Royal Birkdale

We had a great day out on Monday playing with Ed Cooper and Paul Davies at Royal Birkdale after their success from the winter league last year. We certainly had the full Open experience, with the heavy rain on the front 9 and battling the wind on the back 9, then the sun came out on the 18th!

The Pro's Winter League - 'THE RACE TO GLENEAGLES' will begin on Saturday 7th November which will be a weekly 11 hole stableford. We will be runnning an order of merit for Division 1 (0-14) and Division 2 (15+) where your best 8 aggregate scores throughout the winter will count towards your ranking. The winners of each division will qualify for a trip to Gleneagles. Hopefully this will be the motivation you need to keep your game going throughout the winter months!

Coaching Packages

After the success of the weekly ladies coaching, we will be hosting a regular seniors class every Thursday 10-11, which will commence on Thurday 29th October. The session will be £10 per week and we will cover a different shot/topic each week, and at present, there will be a maximum number of 10 players per session. Please sign up in the Pro Shop

If you would like some individual tuition throughout the winter months, my WINTER COACHING OFFER has been very popular which is £250 for 5 x hours of coaching and 5 x hours of studio hire. Please get in touch if you would like to improve your game over the winter.

Hatton's happy homecoming

Tyrrell Hatton sealed a fantastic victory at Wentworth in the BMW PGA Championship over the weekend.

The Englishman played some outstanding golf from tee-to-green, setting up birdie chances aplenty thanks to a near-perfect ball-striking display. Finding the right part of the green was key to Hatton's success over the weekend, which saw him enter the World's Top 10 for the very first time.

One of the slightly more unusual talking points from the weekend was Hatton's clothing; more specifically his hoodies. It seems to have people split and, whilst it won't be to everyone's taste, we'd love to hear your thoughts - send us a message below.
