A Week to Remember!

As far as first weeks go, this week has been brilliant! I have met many of you at the club and you have all been extremely friendly and welcoming. I think everyone is very excited for the season ahead and can't wait for some better weather and good golf! Saying that, the course has been busy this week with many of you braver golfers facing the elements and still enjoying a round!

I must say the greens staff have done an incredible job to keep the course in great condition and on full greens, I know this is a lot more than most clubs can say during this horrific weather period we're having.

It's also fantastic to see some new members both men and ladies coming on board at the club after our membership incentive we ran towards the end of last year. I'd like to welcome you all and am sure you will enjoy being part of this fantastic golf club.

It's been a busy week in more than one way with new stock flying into the pro shop what feels like daily! With a huge range of clothing and equipment, there is definitely something for everyone in-store. Make sure you come in-store and take a look at the new equipment and why not treat yourself to an early-season gift!

Let's get you ready for the season!

The square root of....

If you want to keep the dreaded hooks and slices at bay, hitting the ball with a square clubface is one part of the answer. It’s easier said than done we know, but we have come up with a couple of handy tips that will help your cause.

Get a grip

Squaring the clubface begins with consistency in our hand placement on the grip. If you can get your fundamentals right on every shot, you’ll give yourself the best chance of hitting the shot you want to.

Practice makes perfect

Small tweaks can make a big difference so during a lesson we will take a look at your swing and suggest a few changes that will help you hit the ball better on a more consistent basis.
